Event Details

Join Arkansas PLT for this fun, interactive and educational 2-day workshop focusing on the benefits of prescribed fire.

With recent wildfires ravaging portions of the West and the debate on forest management to control fuel loads – now is an opportune time to learn more about the benefits and uses of prescribed fire in Arkansas.

Participants will learn about forest management, fire weather, habitat restoration, creating a burn plan, tools of the trade, and – if conditions allow – observe a controlled burn.

Registration is limited to 25 participants. Overnight lodging will NOT be provided. Social distancing and CDC guidelines will be followed where applicable.

There is no registration fee but you must pre-register for the workshop. Participants will receive 12 hours PD credit, lunch both days, educational materials, and resources to take back to their classrooms and educational programs.

Cost: Free, but you must preregister at here.

Please contact Rob Beadel at rbeadel@arkforests.org or (501) 374-2441 with any questions.
