AEEA is launching a new professional learning opportunity designed to provide online, easy-to-access, and ongoing professional development opportunities for environmental educators. eeCourses are intended to build key competencies in a particular subject or focus area. eeCourses include a variety of tasks and assignments that are thoughtfully designed to engage participants in active learning experiences.
This program is meant to be flexible and meet the needs of professionals in the field of environmental education, both in classrooms and non-formal education settings. The courses mostly operate asynchronously with specific due dates for each module. Each course will require a total time commitment of 10-15 hours over a period of eight (8) weeks.
eeCourses are a new avenue for professional development through AEEA. We will continue to hold our annual conference and in-person workshops. In the future, additional courses will be added to our offerings of online learning. These can be completed as a series to earn an eeCredential. An eeCredential is a micro-credential or a certificate that can be earned by completing a series of related courses, designed to increase your knowledge and skills in a specific area.
A certificate of completion and 10 hours of professional development hours will be provided upon completion of the course.
