Dr. Amber Harbin-Gibbons is an 18-year veteran public school educator from central Arkansas, where she is the North Little Rock School District K-12 Coordinator of Science, Environmental Literacy, Outdoor Education, and Advanced Programs. In 2020, she was recognized as the Little Rock School District Teacher of the Year and, in 2021, a state semi-finalist for Arkansas Teacher of the Year. She has dedicated her career to promoting educational equity, ensuring that all students have access to high-quality learning experiences regardless of their background.

Dr. Harbin-Gibbons is also known for her advocacy in areas such as science and environmental education and gifted and talented education, where she strives to create programs that challenge and nurture the potential of all learners. She is actively involved in initiatives that support teacher professional development and works closely with local and state education leaders to improve educational standards.

Harbin-Gibbons has strong ties to environmental education and service. She is a former Peace Corps volunteer, Girls Scout summer Camp director, program coordinator, and unit leader, proudly lived in a tent every summer for three years. She is passionate about environmental sustainability and wants to contribute to environmental awareness. Amber considers herself a Nap-Enthusist who enjoys traveling, nature, gardening, research, and sewing.
