This workshop will focus on birds. Come join us for a fun, hands-on workshop. Participants will receive two award winning curriculum guides, Peterson’s field guide to birds, and a custom built blue bird house.
6 hours of professional development credit through Arkansas Department of Education.
There will be a $10 materials charge which will be collected the day of the workshop.
A one hour lunch break will be given in which you can leave the facility for lunch or bring a sack lunch.
Participants are encouraged to bring drinks and snacks.

Project Learning Tree and Project WILD are environmental education programs for anyone who teaches youngsters. They help develop students’ knowledge of the environment and encourage them to care for natural resources.
Participants will receive “Explore Your Environment: K-8 Activity Guide,” which includes 50 hands-on activities to connect children to nature and increase their awareness and knowledge about our
natural world. Project WILD’s curriculum offers 150 hands-on activities to also connect children to nature. Topics include trees, forests, wildlife, water, energy, climate change, community planning, invasive species and more. Teachers and informal educators can easily integrate these activities into their classrooms and educational programs.
This workshop qualifies for six hours of ADE-approved professional development.
Cost: $10 materials fee payable the day of the workshop.

Project WILD
Bring the wonders of wildlife into your classroom while teaching
students about Arkansas’s natural environment. Project WILD is
an international award-winning program for educators, designed
to teach students of all ages about wildlife and the environment.
Project Learning Tree
Help your students learn about natural and created environment,
and understand their roles and responsibilities.
Project WET
Inspire students to respect our precious water resources and to
understand the importance of sound water management and
their personal commitment to environmental protection.
This workshop qualifies for six hours of ADE-approved professional development.

Receive training in Project Learning Tree’s early childhood curriculum, Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood, and Project WILD’s Growing Up Wild curriculum. This workshop is for educators of kids ages 3-6.
Each participant will receive activity guides with over 130 hands-on, interdisciplinary experiences for young learners. Activities meet the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) criteria for curriculum and the Head Start Child Outcomes Framework.
Join us for this fun, hands-on and interactive workshop to learn how to implement these activities into your own classrooms, afterschool programs, and camps.
Qualifies for 6 hours of ADE and Arkansas PDR Professional Development.
Cost: $10 payable day of the workshop via cash, check, or credit card
