Green Jobs - Exploring Forest Careers with Project Learning Tree

Forestry jobs in Arkansas pay a 134% higher salary than the statewide average, yet many of those positions go unfilled. Educating youth in the field of forestry is vital at filling these in-demand careers.

Join PLT for this professional development event featuring Project Learning Tree’s Green Jobs: Exploring Forest Careers. This until includes four hands-on, NGSS aligned, instructional activities to help youth research forestry jobs, and practice managing and monitoring forest resources.

The afternoon session will be conducted in the filed with foresters from Green Bay Packaging. Participants will learn about a variety of forestry careers and see examples of sustainable forestry practices used to maintain healthy forests.
