Faebyan Whittle is an Environmental Educator with the City of Fayetteville. Her lifelong dream is to provide education and actionable opportunities targeting environmental sustainability initiatives along with helping businesses and individuals become better stewards. By meeting people where they are in the journey to sustainable co-existence, Faebyan has successfully been able to understand and identify specific and unique frameworks of sustainable practices that are actionable in the present that include a plan for future progress. Previously the Director of Sustainability for a cornerstone outdoor specialty retailer in Northwest Arkansas, Pack Rat Outdoor Center, Faebyan helped lead Pack Rat to be recognized at national and local levels with accolades in sustainability practices. Also a community organizer, Faebyan believes that gratitude along with a positive perspective can resolve almost every issue we may encounter and is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion. In her spare time, she plays outside – backpacking, mountain biking, climbing, foraging and volunteering for community supported agriculture are just a few of her favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors. Whether riding the Razorback Greenway, foraging for mushrooms, or attempting to homestead in the middle of the city, Faebyan prioritizes connecting with her family sons and four dogs in the beautiful Ozarks.
