Event Details

With 80 percent of the freshwater resources in the United States originating in forests, having
healthy forests is critical to having clean water. The quality of water draining from forested
watersheds is typically the highest in the country. Forests absorb rainfall, refill aquifers, slow and filter stormwater runoff, reduce floods, and provides habitat for fish and wildlife.

Join us for this educational and interactive professional development workshop focusing on the topic of watersheds. This workshop will feature hands-on activities related to Arkansas’s woods and watersheds. This training is approved for 6 hours of ADE credit.

Registration is $10 which covers workshop materials and PLT’s Explore Your Environment K-8
Activity Guide. Fee payable at the workshop via cash or credit card. Please bring a lunch.
